2021-2023 UNDP/UNEP Project

Scaling-Up Local Environmental Initiatives by Prevention, Minimization of Uncontrolled Plastics Solid and Waste through Ecosystem Management in Rural Liberia.” The project is directed at communities and municipalities in Lofa County including Quadou Bonde Adm. District and surroundings: Markets, parking lots, public Voinjama public square; administrative and court buildings, hospital route; central and Zorzor City (Market grounds community, parking lots, entertainment centers, Hospital vicinity, Foya City and market, central Foya Center square and hospital locations, Kolahun market ground, hospital, and strategic locations, Salayea Districts and surrounding communities.

PMU/UNDP: CEPEBUD Liberia

CEPEBUD Liberia supported the conduct of Civic Voters Education on the October 10, 2023, Presidential and Legislative Elections in Liberia; CEPEBUD-Liberia was assigned to electoral districts: ED no. 10, 6 & 5; with support from PMU-Liberia, This was a national Civic Voter Education campaign in which CEPEBUD was engaged in the creative and informative presentation on the 2023 CVE Elections and effectively ensured IEC/CVE campaign’s strategies aimed at increasing voters participation. CEPEBUD-Liberia facilitated a number of Community Engagement events which involved community leaders and influencers to promote campaign messages. • Capacity Building with Community Mobilization Officers: CEPEBUD conducted local • Training with local CVE champions to sustain CVE campaign efforts during the 2023 presidential and legislative elections in Liberia. • Monitoring and Evaluation: CEPEBUD used the ODK Social Media platform to setup reporting, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track progress and impact on citizens’ participation in a peaceful elections.

2022 project funded by UNDP-Liberia

Scaling-Up Local Initiatives in the Prevention, Minimization of Uncontrolled Solid and Plastics Waste Management in rural Liberia. The Project aims to promote improved Community-based Disposal and Management of Solid and Plastics waste systems, which contributes towards Better WASH services that build resilience in Communities and ensure population health and safety of Women, youth, and children in Lofa, rural Liberia, 5-districts. Samuel.nah@undp.org; jsayekehnel@gmail.com; 5. 2021-2022: ICT Support by Computer Aid International: Computer AID International, UK Based INGO provided 30-pieces of modern Computers equipment loaded with “Operating System” for CEPEBUD Technical Training Program for rural women and girls in Lofa County.

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI-Liberia 2019-2021 in Lofa

Supporting Sustainable Economic Empowerment Project (SWEEP) in Lofa County. The goal was to support rural women to have enhanced access to available local income and social services aimed at improving the livelihood of 600 beneficiaries. PMU/UNDP-Liberia: Supporting Constitutional Reforms in Liberia: November 2016August 2017

with support from UNDP-Liberia, through PMU-Liberia to CEPEBUD-Liberia small Grant under the “Promoting Local Citizens’ Participation and Decisions in Constitutional Reforms. Ref: rooseveltzayzay@undp.org;

2006 - CEPEBUD

Constructed and turned over the Gbelahun Market Women Hall Project in Lukasu, Kolahun District Lofa County (2006); funded by ECHO-Liberia, Lofa Office, that benefits over 10,000 local communities including 15- nearby towns and villages

Lofa County 2008- CEPEBUD

Supported the construction of Hand Pump for Kissi Quarter Community. The Hand Pump is still being used by the community;

Lofa County 2007- CEPEBUD

with funding from the ECHO-Liberia Livelihood project, secured and constructed rice mail for Kissi Quarter Community, benefiting over 5000 rural inhabitants;

Lofa County 2007- CEPEBUD

With support from the International Rescue Committee (IRC), CEPEBUD constructed the Kissi Quarter Town-hall that is currently serving the community and being used for development planning and supporting peaceful and other social activities within the community;
